In last Friday's Intermediate WCS lesson at Hollywood Ballroom, our group class worked on adding flavor to their basics. As we had noticed in previous weeks, we saw many people incorporating what they had learned in the lesson into their social dancing, which makes us so happy! :)
Also last Friday, dcRolePlay had a preview run of this year's routine, choreographed by Gary McIntyre and Susan Kirklin and coached by Roger and Darin.
We're not sharing any video yet, so if you weren't there, you'll just have to trust us when we say that it was a great performance! Roger is super proud of the team--they have worked really hard this year and are dancing so well! Here is a teaser:
On Saturday, we had a busy day of teaching and dancing, including a fun night at Markus and Tren's Second Saturday dance at Avant Garde.
It was packed with dancers, including many from out of town, and it was a blast!
This work week has been as busy as ever for us, with working, dancing, and teaching.
Tonight at HB, we're excited to be sharing a workshop we call "A Smorgasbord of Anchors." We could have called it a "cornucopia" or a "panoply," but we thought this name was better. :) Details are below and on Dave's website here. DJs for the social dance are Margie Tuttle and James Kong.
